The 2005 E30 Drive

2005 has proved to be a pivotal and extremely successful year for XL, seeing us make the leap from amateur clubman competitors to professional commercial team. XL and Ian Crisp achieved no less than 6 class wins, 2 2nd places and 1 3rd place with 7th place overall being achieved. The car has now been sold and we are now focussing on 2006.

Ian says:
"For me, 2005 was supposed to be a bit of fun. Not having been on a race track for 15 years, I was only going out to have fun. Problem was, as the season progressed, the car got better, and I found myself back to my competitive best, winning rounds in Class C, setting fastest laps and breaking Class C lap records that had stood for a number of years. It has all gotten very serious and competitive once more - and I love it! If it wasn't for the meticulous preparation and attention to detail by XL Motorsport, I would never have achieved so much in my comeback season. All credit to XL, they produced a fast, reliable race car that made me look good as well."
